October Meeting

Fellow Future Business Leaders,

A few quick reminders:

1. Our next meeting is on October 11th, this coming Tuesday, after school in E109. There will be no repeat meeting this week because we are attending a conference this Thursday.

2. Please pay your dues ASAP. Remember that we have three payment options this year. You may pay $20 for your FBLA membership, $30 to get a t-shirt in addition to your membership, and $40 for a joint membership with DECA and FBLA. You must pay your dues by Friday, October 14th for your points thus far to be counted. Your points will not be counted until you pay your dues after October 14th. You can't compete or attend conferences if you don't pay your dues!! There will be a special treat for those who pay by this Tuesday at our October meeting.

3. Regarding dues, we are in the process of signing up paid members with the national office. The following 18 people have been registered. If you are not a part of these 18 people and have paid your FBLA dues through MyPaymentsPlus, please bring a copy of your MPP dues receipt to the meeting next week or email us a copy. If you didn't print a receipt out when you paid, you may do so by clicking on "View History", "Online Payment History", and then "receipt" in the far right hand corner of the screen. If you have any questions concerning this, please email us back.

4. Fill out tinyurl.com/competition1617 if you are interested in competing! The deadline to sign up is November 1st. You will get 15 honor cord points per test you take, so please sign up ASAP!

5. Sign up to complete a Business Achievement Award at tinyurl.com/baa1617. Completing a BAA, which shouldn't take you more than a couple of hours, can earn you 30 honor cord points!

6. Recruit, recruit, recruit!! Remember that our Tuesday meeting is Bonus Point Day where you can earn 15 points for recruiting a paid friend and bringing them to the meeting. Make sure they fill out tinyurl.com/membership1617 for you to get your 10 regular recruitment points. Check in with Sumedh after the meeting to get your 5 bonus honor cord points!
