SLC/year recap, final meeting, and more!

Last month, we attended the 2017 Georgia FBLA State Leadership Conference in Athens, GA! We attended professional seminars and activities to learn effective leadership skills, competed in various competitive events, and brought home some hardware! Here's a list of all of our achievements at SLC:

Peachtree Ridge FBLA - GOLD CHAPTER FOR THE FOURTH YEAR IN A ROW!!!

Sami Belhareth - 4th in Marketing (team), 5th in Entrepreneurship (team), 9th in Marketing (individual, NLC QUALIFIED)

Sumedh Garimella - T-7th in Battle of the Chapters (w/ James Lee and Sanisha Shah), 10th in Global Business (team), 10th in Global Business (individual, NLC QUALIFIED)

Nitheyaa Shree - 5th in Business Communications, 7th in Agribusiness

Shawn Im - 10th in Global Business (team)

We also had 2 members qualify for the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California! Even though we will not be attending the NLC in SoCal, we are so proud of everybody who competed in SLC events, and we hope for even more success in competitive events and Chapter of the Year next year!

In addition, thank you to everybody who applied to be an officer of our chapter for the upcoming 2017-18 school year! We will be announcing the new officer team at the meeting this thursday, April 13th, in E109, so please be there!

Speaking of our final meeting, we will have food, and will be wrapping up our amazing year in Peachtree Ridge FBLA. We will hand out t-shirts (sorry for the delay, we promise the shirts will be worth the wait!!!), honor cords, and BAA pins for those who submitted BAAs on time. In addition, we will indeed be announcing our new officers, and recognizing our winners at SLC. If you ordered a t-shirt or earned an award, please be present at Thursday's meeting or contact us to schedule a time to pick them up.
